      Here is Gwen's halloween costume.  she is a Red Star, though it is hard to see where the star ends and the shirt begins.

 Wew went to San Diego last week to pick up Rebecca and Gage and stay there for a few days.  We went to Legoland, Sea World and Balboa Park.  Here is Angel and Gwen and the old Lego man at Legoland. Gwen with the duplo pit.  Cousin Gage with the giant duplos.   Delma, Gwen and the camel.

 This is a sculpture at the Mingei International Museum in Balboa Park in San Diego.    Here is the elephant that we created at Sea World.  Gwen wanted the pom poms, so we got the cheerleader outfit.  check out the shoes!
 

I took cupcakes and juice to Gwen's class.  the cupcakes had bright frosting that got all over.  (See 1st birthday, also).   She opened her gifts at home - Baby's room for her First Dollhouse from Great Grandparents B.  Puzzles from Mom and Dad  The Tricycle is already posted. 

Here is the Radio Flyer tricycle for Gwen's birthday from Grandparents Craig.  We got it today and it has already thrown her off!

 

Our friend Teresa came over and gave Gwen her second haircut.  She also gave Gwen her first!  It looks really cute and her bangs are out of her eyes now!

First, their names:  Seto is the the tortoiseshell.  Shino is the orange.  We went to the vet today for their first shots.  Seto is female and Shino is male. 
They are sacked out in the computer room with me right now.  The trauma of the vet visit wore them out!

Happy Mother's Day! 

Here are Gwen and mine's early birthday presents!  They have yet to be named. They are about 6 weeks old.  It is fun to have kittens, it's been 10 years since we had an adult cat and much longer than that for kittens! They are sisters.

We were just in Phoenix for a few days for a ceramic conference.  G and I went to the zoo and the children's museum. No pix of that since it was just me and her.  I couldn't take pix and keep track of her!

 We have a bunch of moth caterpillars in our back yard.  Gwen and I were checking them out.     Here are two of them on the block wall.   Angel found them online and it looks like they are white-tailed sphinx moths.  they are hatching from the ground, but there's not much to eat in our backyard.  It's all sand with some desert weeds thrown in. 

 the girls at school love doing Gwen's hair.  here's one of their creations.  She will sit still for them but she won't for me!

  

  Gwen got her first haircut today.  Her hair was getting long and unmanageable. 

 
We have the little tikes slide in our little backyard.  The backyard is a sand pit right now.  Gwen can climb up all by herself and slide down. 

 

Grandma L sent her the Crayola paintbrushes.  She was more interested in coloring her face, arms and legs than on the paper.  The good news is that the paint washes right off.  Yeah Crayola!

Gwen got a potty chair for Christmas!  She is already sitting on it and taking it apart!

Grandparents Craig got her a giant dolphin pillow.  It's pretty cool!
 She got a Barbie play CD player from Lupe.  It's reminiscent of the old fisher price record players.  remember those, children of the 80s and earlier?

Here are Grandma and Grandpa Luna with Gwen and our tree, right before they left to go home.  We miss them already!
 here we are with our tree. It is now in it's permanent location in front of the window, has a tree skirt on and has presents under it.

   Gwen figured out how to climb on top of Angel today. 

we are more ready for Christmas now.   i still haven't started my annual christmas letter or done any cards.  I don't think I'm going to have a chance this year, we'll see.  maybe a new year's letter.
